Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist at National Grid, you will play a key role in sourcing the right supplies, at the right price, and at the right time. You will work with high-performing teams to develop innovative strategies to meet business needs and deliver long-term value. This role is based in Warwick with flexible, hybrid working.
You will be engaging with multiple business units in running full Strategic Sourcing Events through to contract award, executing requirements on a framework of approved suppliers and helping develop categories and deliver strategic direction. To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to apply critical, creative and evidence-based thinking, be flexible and resilient, and have the capacity to accept and give constructive feedback whilst always acting with integrity and taking responsibility for your actions.
You will also need to be able to use your initiative and influence to deliver commercial benefit to an organization and be able to weigh up multiple options, articulate each option and make recommendations to the business unit. You will be organised and able to plan, effectively manage your time, prioritise, balance the needs of multiple projects and be competent in the use of project management tools.
