Job Overview

Our client, a well-established High Voltage Engineering Business, is seeking a skilled and experienced High Voltage Senior Authorised Person/Electrical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing HV switching operations on site, adhering to electrical distribution safety rules and regulations.

The key requirements of this role include:

• Performing high voltage switching operations to ensure safety and compliance with electrical distribution safety rules.
• Issuing safety documents and overseeing the spiking and fault location of cable circuits.
• Assisting project and commissioning engineers with high voltage testing, including testing cable circuits.
• Mentoring and guiding engineers towards achieving Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status.

The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record in HV operations and have a strong understanding of electrical distribution safety rules. A minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with Utility or in Electrical Contracting as a Senior Authorised Person and hold a full clean UK driving license. The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
