We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Medication Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe management of medications across the trust.

Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting the safe management of controlled drugs by undertaking proactive monitoring, resolving balance discrepancies, and coordinating audits.
  • Collaborating with the medicines safety leads to record, monitor, and feed back on medication risks.
  • Investigating incidents involving medication errors or near misses, and providing recommendations for improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting.
