Pharmacy Technician Specialist

Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust, a leading health provider in Europe for women, babies, and families, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and providing a Patient's Own Medication (POM) scheme in the trust, maintaining medicines management, and ensuring patient safety.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, time management skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to adapt to change. A registered pharmacist with demonstrable dispensary experience is essential for this role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop Patients Own Medicine (POM) schemes on identified wards
- Carry out and check dispensing and issuing of medicines
- Check for prescribing and other errors within technician training limits
- Ensure appropriate instructions and counselling of patients
- Deputise as required in the absence of the Technical Services Manager
Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust offers a competitive salary package, including pension scheme benefits, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
