Job Title: Plant Area Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plant Area Supervisor to join our team at MorePeople. As a key member of our garden centre operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the outdoor area, including managing staff, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Oversee the maintenance and replenishment of plant stock, ensuring that it is displayed prominently and clearly priced
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, providing expert advice and guidance on plant care and selection
  • Work closely with the Plant Area Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a garden centre or horticultural setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Knowledge of plant care and horticulture, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours
