Clinical Psychologist Home Based Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and therapeutic interventions to service users with complex mental health presentations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the Psychological Service, utilizing complex data from various sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, and direct and indirect structured observations.
- Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients' complex mental health problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework and employing methods based on evidence of efficiency.
- Ensure comprehensive risk assessments are carried out in line with Mental Health Care Division policy and provide clinical leadership for therapy interventions, managing the referral process and waiting list.
- Provide clinical supervision to qualified, assistant level, and trainee staff, contributing to the pre and post-qualification teaching of clinical psychological/nursing service staff, and advising on service development and research.
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, as well as two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist and evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the UKCP, and/or NMC or other professional bodies.
- At least 4 years' experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients with complex mental health presentations across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
- Experience of working with complex presentations, inpatient and community services, and a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
