Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chapter Director, Network Engineering, to lead our Digital Platforms & Infrastructure Technology department in Warwick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative capabilities, implementing processes that align with organizational goals, and driving performance and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish the right standards:
  • Define expected practices and guardrails based on industry best practices
  • Ensure network engineering aligns with National Grid's future state blueprint and roadmap
  • Review and manage Chapter Lead performance
Develop the right skills:
  • Map expected competencies and certifications against each role and level in the Chapter
  • Design career paths, including performance expectations and promotion criteria
  • Partner with Learning and Development teams to design targeted training and certification curriculum
  • Ensure personal and professional well-being of your team
Deliver the right capacity:
  • Track supply of and aggregate demand for Chapter resources
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure Chapter members are allocated to the most impactful teams
  • Develop a recruiting strategy for Chapter members and participate in the recruiting process
Manage/deliver for internal and external stakeholders:
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in all areas of development and innovation in the Chapter domain
  • Ensure Platform Leads and other stakeholders know what resources and knowledge are available to them
Network Engineering Focus:
  • Facilitate collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best practice adoption across the network engineering community
  • Establish and promote frameworks and guidelines for the standardization of network architecture, design principles, and operational procedures
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You should have experience in strategic technology leadership, IT infrastructure, analytics, and outsourcing management. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, as well as the ability to develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
