Finance Business Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Manager to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the management of our Adult Services budget, ensuring effective financial management and accountancy services.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and record savings targets, efficiency initiatives, and service budgets to ensure effective financial management.
- Provide a link between performance, finance, and operations on key business activities, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
- Manage a small team and travel to various locations throughout the county to support service delivery.
- Present data in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership and stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Review, plan, and recommend changes to systems, processes, procedures, and practices to shape current and future service provision, priorities, and resource requirements.
- Postgraduate diploma in management studies or equivalent management qualification or experience.
- Experience in monitoring and setting budgets effectively to deliver a service within available resources.
- Contribution to the development of business strategies and translation into operational policy and procedure.
- Sound and accurate IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office and data handling expertise.
