Transforming Audit with Innovation

At Grant Thornton, we're revolutionizing the audit practice with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions. As an Assistant Manager in our Digital Audit Team, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining apps that automate existing tasks and audit tests, creating new audit approaches, and improving audit efficiency and quality.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and delivering self-serve solutions, working closely with managers and senior managers in the team.
  • Develop proficiency in Python, writing quality code that meets the firm's best practices and PEP 8 guidelines.
  • Write discrete sections of code for AAA tools and complete self-serve code for simple tools.
  • Use your initiative to research solutions to coding challenges and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Learn and implement a range of technologies, including machine learning, APIs, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Follow the firm's processes, such as the app development checklist and the New Initiatives Process.
  • Consider the needs of the audit practice and opportunities for digital improvement, driving innovation in all your activities.
  • Collaborate with other Digital Audit Team quadrants, including Implementation, Methodology, Operations, and Support.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a driven and determined individual who can find solutions to audit challenges related to data and analytics. While experience in Python is ideal, we offer comprehensive training to support candidates who haven't coded in Python before. You'll need to think laterally, identifying opportunities for automation or transformation, and have a systematic, analytical approach to work.
