About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Digital Audit Team's Innovation quadrant. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining apps to automate existing tasks and audit tests, as well as creating new audit approaches.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to think creatively. You will be working closely with the team to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve audit efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and delivering self-serve solutions, working with manager and senior managers in the team
  • Develop proficiency in Python and write quality code consistent with the firm's best practice and PEP 8
  • Write discrete sections of code to be included in AAA tools, as well as complete self-serve code for simple tools
  • Use your own initiative to research solutions to coding challenges
  • Learn and help to implement a range of technologies including machine learning, APIs, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Power Apps
  • Follow the firm's processes, for example the app development checklist and the New Initiatives Process
  • Consider the needs of the audit practice and opportunities for digital improvement as the driving force behind all your activities
  • Work alongside the other Digital Audit Team quadrants of Implementation, Methodology, Operations, and Support

Requirements

  • Experience in Python, the primary programming language of the department, would be ideal, but we have established a comprehensive training program to support any candidate who has not coded in Python before
  • An ability to think laterally, identifying opportunities for automation or transformation
  • A systematic, analytical approach to work, being able to take a task or problem and turn it into a digital solution
  • An interest in maintaining and developing your technical knowledge
