At St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a nurse with a strong background in urology and oncology to provide high-quality patient care and support our medical teams. The successful candidate will have a degree in nursing and be registered with the NMC. They will also have a minimum of 2 years' experience in urology or oncology and have completed a urology course.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic care and health promotion for patients with penile cancer, including electronic holistic needs assessments.
- Work in the outpatient and inpatient settings to provide care to patients with benign urological conditions and urological cancer services.
- Support the Emergency Department and work closely with Urology medical teams.
- Conduct audits and data collection to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a caring and sensitive approach to patient care.
- RGN on NMC registrar
- Degree in Nursing
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- 2 years Urology or Oncology experience
- Urology course
- Male catheterisation
- Experience in audits/data collection
- Understanding of clinical risk
- Awareness of research & evidence-based care
