Job Title: Assistant Director of People

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Assistant Director of People to join our Executive Leadership team at Greater Manchester Police. As a key member of the Chief Constable's team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our people strategy, driving organisational performance, and fostering a culture of excellence.

About the Role:
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Resourcing Officer/Assistant Chief Officer, Chief People Officer, you will be accountable for a delegated people portfolio, from strategic creation to delivery and operational implementation of the people agenda.
  • You will work strategically, influencing senior leaders to get the best out of their teams, and be responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy that is aligned to our 5-year plan.
  • As a critical HR leadership role within the People function, you will carry a significant level of strategic, operational, and leadership responsibility, inspiring and engaging the wider people branch to deliver the priorities together as one team.

Requirements:
  • Education to degree level and a relevant professional qualification
