Job Summary:
Castlefield Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join a London-based Local Authority as a Strategic Capital Finance Business Partner. This is a key role within the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for leading and managing the Council's Capital investment programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sound and robust financial plan for the annual capital budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and budgetary control.
- Lead a team of 3 finance staff, providing line management and budgetary control, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services.
- Provide direct support to the Deputy S151 and deputise as required, ensuring seamless continuity of service.
- Manage service level budgets and resources, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective budgetary control.
- Lead on small capital projects, implementing changes and improvements, and ensuring effective project management.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and elected officials, attending meetings and providing financial expertise and guidance.
Requirements:
- Completed a relevant professional qualification, such as a degree in finance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Local Authority Capital Accounting, including financial regulations and guidelines.
- Extensive Local Government Finance experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial services.
