Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Team Lead to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with Patient Services Centre, Pathway Co-ordinators, Medical Secretaries, Ward Clerks and other relevant admin, clinical and management staff.
  • Maintain excellent communication channels and good customer services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for areas and patient pathways, and Trust approved systems.
  • Coordinate and implement administrative processes to ensure efficient patient journeys.
  • Cascade and/or escalate details of delays or bottlenecks within the administration / booking process.
  • Ensure patient administration is carried out in line with Trust policies and standard operating procedures.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

They will also have a strong understanding of administrative processes and procedures, with the ability to coordinate and implement changes as required.

A high level of discretion and confidentiality is also essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
