Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Defence. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of high-quality food that meets the expectations of our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the dietary needs of our clients and customers.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage kitchen supplies to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet demand.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and equipped to handle food safely and hygienically.
  • Collaborate with our procurement team to source high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food meets our high standards.
  • Work closely with our sales and marketing team to develop menus and promotions that meet the needs of our clients and customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on presentation and flavor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to implement and maintain high standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
