Academic Support Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to provide academic support to vulnerable, disengaged, and at-risk young people in Poulton Le Fylde. The successful candidate will create, plan, and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

About the Role

The tutor will work in a one-on-one or small-group setting, improving the educational journey of students. This is a part-time contract position, with working hours varying depending on the convenient timings of the family.

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Eligibility

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
