We are looking to recruit and fun and enthusiastic individual with a genuine love for children to join our team.
Applicants must be upbeat and keen to learn. The person we are looking for must be approachable, caring and have a passion for working with children. You must be a reliable member of the team and able to work co-operatively with others and be flexible to the needs of the children and the setting.
Main responsibilities:
To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0- 5years. To ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
To developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager. To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship
To attend training;
To complete all assignments set;
To work as part of a team;
To attend associated training;
To liaise with mentor and assessor and prepare yourself for your assessment visits
To help to develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents / teachers and nursery staff to facilitate day to day caring needs.
Liaising with parents in an upbeat and friendly manner, maintaining eye contact and a smile. Introducing yourself to those you may not have met.
Main activities:
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times. To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
To help ensure nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
To understand and work to policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes. To be a key person.
To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement.
To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.
On the job training is provided through our training provider, however apprentices currently training may apply.
