About the Role

Colas Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Quarry Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our quarry and asphalt plant sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating site inspections, calibrations, and monitoring work schedules to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating site inspections and calibrations to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring work schedules and production statistics to optimize quarry and asphalt plant operations
  • Analyzing plant data and producing reports to inform business decisions
  • Supporting the operations team to ensure maximum co-operation with weighbridge and sales staff
  • Maintaining the company reputation by adhering to professional standards, operational efficiency, and social and environmental responsibilities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of the quarrying industry, including development, extraction, load and haul, crushing and screening, asphalt production, engineering maintenance, and waste management/recycling
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
