Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Front of House team as a Front of House Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers have a positive experience in our venue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customer interactions are positive and friendly.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to the highest standard, using the correct tools and presentation techniques.
  • Assist with food preparation in the kitchen, as required, to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standard.
  • Set up service counters and maintain the service areas to ensure that they are clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen, and service areas to comply with cleaning schedules.
  • Under the guidance of the General Manager, ensure that merchandising at service counters and dining areas is correctly priced, labelled, and in date.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain food availability during service periods.
  • Assist in the cleaning and clearing of tables, polishing of cutlery, and cleaning and replenishing vending machines, as required.
  • Handle the till and cash sales accurately and take responsibility for the security of all monies in the till.
  • Assist in monthly stock take, as directed.

Customer Service

As a Front of House Assistant, you will be the face of our company and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service. This will include:

  • Presenting and maintaining a professional and friendly image with customers.
  • Attending to customer needs in a polite and helpful manner, providing assistance where necessary.
  • Providing information to customers about our food and making recommendations.
  • Working with all colleagues in a polite and helpful way to ensure excellent customer service.

Health and Safety

We take the health and safety of our customers and colleagues very seriously and expect all Front of House Assistants to:

  • Understand and comply with CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes, as directed, and maintain uniform items appropriately.
  • Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health, and safety hazards to the General Manager.
