Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

As a Front of House Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Serving food and beverages to the highest standard, using the correct tools and presentation techniques.
  • Preparing and serving beverages in a timely manner, adhering to our CH&CO standards.
  • Assisting with food preparation in the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Setting up service counters and maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of service areas, adhering to our CH&CO standards.
  • Cleaning and washing up equipment, kitchen, and service areas, adhering to cleaning schedules.
  • Ensuring merchandising at service counters and dining areas is correctly priced, labelled, and in date, under the guidance of the General Manager.
  • Working with colleagues to maintain food availability during service periods.
  • Assisting with table clearing, polishing cutlery, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dining area.
  • Handling till and cash sales accurately, taking responsibility for the security of all monies in the till, and assisting with cashing up procedures.
  • Assisting with monthly stock take, as directed.

Customer Service

You will be the face of our company, presenting a professional and friendly image to our clients and customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending to customer needs in a polite and helpful manner, providing assistance where necessary.
  • Providing information to customers about our food and making recommendations.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service, maintaining a positive and friendly attitude at all times.
  • Accurately and efficiently handling all transactions, assisting with cashing up procedures, and adhering to our CH&CO standards.

Health and Safety

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to our CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene, and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and complying with our CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene, and safety standards, including COSHH and HACCP.
  • Wearing the correct uniform and safety shoes, as directed, and maintaining uniform items appropriately.
  • Reporting any equipment and/or building fabric faults, hygiene, health, and safety hazards to the General Manager.

Occasional Responsibilities

You may be required to attend training courses and meetings, as necessary, and assist with monthly stock take, as directed.
