Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the E&S homeowners new business and renewal portfolio
  • Review risk locations against carrier guidelines to determine eligibility
  • Collaborate to develop and maintain an efficient new business and renewal framework
  • Interact with partner brokers and provide superior customer service
  • Assist brokers with comments or questions on various items as needed
  • Review and execute policy issuance and servicing requests
  • Review submissions for completeness, accuracy, and make requests for additional information
  • Ensure underwriting files have adequate documentation
  • Responsible for property inspection reviews and audits for residential properties as needed
  • Attend team meetings and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Five years of homeowners insurance underwriting experience preferred with an insurance carrier, MGA, program administrator, or agency
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve problems and meet broker, client, and market expectations of service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to master proprietary software
  • Ability to work autonomously when not directly supervised day to day
