Job Summary

The MSI E&S Homeowners Underwriting Assistant will provide efficient operational support for the E&S Homeowners Underwriting team. This role is responsible for assisting underwriters in all aspects of their primary responsibility, interacting with partner brokers, and providing superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist underwriters in all aspects of their primary responsibility, including reviewing submissions for completeness and accuracy, and making requests for additional information.
  • Interact with partner brokers and provide superior customer service, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Review and execute policy issuance and servicing requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for property inspection reviews and audits for high-valued residential properties, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments.
  • Attend team meetings and perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the team's success and growth.

Requirements

  • Previous homeowners insurance experience preferred, with an insurance carrier, MGA, program administrator, or agency.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve problems and meet broker, client, and market expectations of service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to master proprietary software.
  • Ability to work autonomously when not directly supervised day-to-day.
