Communications Director for EMEA Region

As a key member of the Cloudera team, you will play a pivotal role in building the Cloudera brand through media relations and customer & industry storytelling. Working closely with teams across the organization and outside agencies, you will help evolve and share Cloudera's story with our core markets in the EMEA Region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building awareness through media relations, creating & driving EMEA focused outreach plans, and working closely with local market spokespeople to increase proactive coverage as a driver for sales opportunities.
  • Working with the US-based communications team and local PR agency teams to pitch Cloudera's products, industry, and customer stories and manage media relationships.
  • Researching media and target audiences, and driving ongoing proactive media activity.
  • Positioning Cloudera's leadership as industry subject matter experts and thought leaders in their respective local markets.
  • Partnering with our customer reference team to identify referenceable customers and share their stories.
  • Writing press materials, reviewing and editing long and short-form content, including executive briefing material and bylines.
  • Identifying and building relationships with influencers and identifying opportunities for timely local stories.
  • Managing and growing the analyst relations program in EMEA to influence key local industry analysts.
  • Working with regional senior management to develop strategic plans and objectives to help drive recognition and leadership of Cloudera as the true hybrid platform for data, analytics and AI.
  • Proactively driving engagements via tours, briefings, inquiries, and event 1:1s to increase awareness and influence with Tier 1 analysts and influencers.
  • Cultivating customer relationships for participation in analyst events and reference calls, peer reviews, and major vendor evaluation surveys.
