Job Title: Engineering Quality Inspector

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Quality Inspector to join our team in Swindon. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the production of parts and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  2. Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications to ensure products are produced to the highest quality.
  3. Operate and maintain Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for accurate measurements.
  4. Support Quality Assurance by completing internal calibration of measuring equipment.
  5. Carry out routine quality and 5S audit checks of production batches.
  6. Assist production teams with queries, standards, or other issues and liaise with Quality Assurance.
Desirable Attributes:
  1. Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience in turning, milling, or mechanical inspection.
  2. Ability to understand engineering drawings, symbols, revisions, and documentation.
  3. Experience with operating Mitutoyo and Aberlink CMM Machines.
  4. Computer literacy and willingness to learn new skills.
  5. Self-motivation, versatility, and ability to work independently in a team environment.
