About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to prepare and cook high-quality dishes to specification.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and well-maintained, adhering to high standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of food allergens, kitchen essentials, and food safety practices.

Requirements
  • You are probably an existing Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Chef looking to take the next step in your career.
  • You will ideally have experience of working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices).
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Self-motivated to work at pace, with limited supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice when it comes to all things Allergens, kitchen essentials, and Food Safety.
