An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with NELFT North East London Foundation Trust as a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist in their Waltham Forest Refugee Psychology Service.

Main duties of the role

As part of this specialist service, you will offer evidence-based interventions for complex mental health problems, including trauma, depression, anxiety, and traumatic bereavement, to asylum seekers and refugees. You will contribute to supervision, consultation, and liaison with multidisciplinary teams and non-professional carers, while collaborating closely with refugee and community organisations.

You will lead on an outreach and community psychology project in Waltham Forest, involving close collaboration with colleagues from the team and opportunities for supervision and service development. Additionally, you may be involved in implementing audit or research in a healthcare setting.

The post also attracts a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, with a minimum of £4,551 and maximum of £5,735, pro rata for part-time staff. The estimated annual salary for this position is £53,755 - £60,504 (plus HCAS).
