Role Overview
Academics is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team at a Special Needs School in Newbury, West Berkshire.
The ideal candidate will have recently graduated and be considering a career as an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Art Therapist, Psychologist, or a related profession.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in the classroom with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, behavioural challenges, or communication difficulties.
- Ensure students understand the task at hand and provide emotional support to guarantee a safe and happy learning environment.
- Assist with behaviour management and personal care as needed.
