Job Title: Health and Safety Manager - NEBOSH (Permanent)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at an independent, day and boarding, sixth form college. The successful candidate will oversee and manage various support functions, including premises, health and safety, site security, site maintenance, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage various support functions, including premises, health and safety, site security, site maintenance, and utilities.
  • Produce risk assessments in compliance with relevant legislation and statutory guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain health and safety records and reports.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Requirements:

  • Health and safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Three or more years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate, with experience of data handling IT systems (including Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, and diary management using Google).

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with 33 days of holiday per annum, inclusive of statutory bank holidays.
