A Day in the Life of a Group Chef Manager

As a Group Chef Manager, you will oversee the coffee units and restaurant outlets, leading your team to success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the team to ensure tasks are appropriately allocated and food preparation activities are delivered using standard recipes and Aramark brand standards
  • Maintaining the integrity of the standard Aramark food offer, responsible for maintaining food quality and integrity of items at all times
  • Accountable for stock flow and rotation of products
  • Placing orders and stock rotation
  • Leading the team to use best practice Food Production techniques using the Aramark systems and brand standards
  • Handling customer complaints as required
  • Directing and coaching team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks, ensuring all training and development needs are met
  • Ensuring complete compliance with food safety and health and safety legislation
Requirements
  • Experienced people manager with 13 reports
  • Experience operating as a Chef
  • Ideally, experience in Education and Contract Catering quality-led catering establishments
  • Hands-on and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Passion for people and food
  • A DBS check will be required for this role
