We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our team at The Kingslodge Inn, a charming pub in the heart of Durham. As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our inn, providing exceptional customer service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, has a keen eye for detail, and is able to work well under pressure. As a Front of House Team Member, you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and greeting customers, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Taking food and drink orders, providing excellent service and ensuring accuracy
  • Bar service, including serving drinks and handling cash and card transactions
  • General duties to add value to the customer experience, such as clearing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy environment
  • Working with the kitchen team to deliver great food and ensuring seamless service
  • Delivering bills and taking payment efficiently, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for our guests
  • Being supportive and proactive with your team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
  • Sticking to standards to keep everyone safe, adhering to health and safety protocols and procedures

Age-related pay rates apply for Under 21s. 18-20: £9.00 per hour. Under 18s: £7.50 per hour.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Is enthusiastic and passionate about food and beer and people
  • Delivers excellent customer service and great teamwork in a fast-paced and pressurised environment
  • Is someone who can deliver the experiences they would like to receive themselves
