About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Visitor to provide essential support to families within the British Forces Cyprus community. You will play a vital role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme, ensuring the well-being of children aged 0-5 years.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive health assessments and develop personalized health plans for families based on their unique needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including midwives, nurses, social workers, and educators, to provide holistic care.
- Participate in public health initiatives and campaigns aimed at promoting the health and well-being of children and families.
- Assist with childhood immunization programs, ensuring timely vaccination coverage.
- Conduct Early Help Assessments and actively participate in multi-agency meetings to address family concerns.
About the Team
You will be an integral part of the SSAFA Community Health Team, based in Akrotiri. This dynamic team comprises a range of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to the British Forces Cyprus community. As a Bank Health Visitor, you may also be required to work in Episkopi and Dhekelia.
About You
To excel in this role, you must be a Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) with a proven track record of success. Experience within a military environment is highly desirable. You possess exceptional organizational and time management skills, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A commitment to personal and professional development is essential.
All SSAFA staff are dedicated to safeguarding children and adults, adhering to strict child protection policies and guidelines in accordance with Command Local Safeguarding Children's Board procedures.
A valid driving license and the ability to drive a manual car are essential requirements for this position.
