**Job Title:** SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our successful team at a primary school in Sheffield. As a key member of the support staff, you will work closely with the class teacher and other colleagues to provide individualised support to a pupil with suspected SEND.

About the Role:

  • Work with the class teacher to develop and implement tailored support plans for the pupil.
  • Provide one-to-one support to the pupil, focusing on managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the pupil receives the necessary care and attention.

Requirements and Benefits:

  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs, particularly those with non-verbal Autism.
  • A recognised teaching assistant qualification (Level 2, Level 3 or degree in education).
  • A competitive rate of pay (£18,000 - £22,000 per annum depending on experience).
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities, including Team Teach, Makaton, PECs and behaviour management courses.
