We are seeking a skilled CAD Design Engineer to join our team at https://www.energyjobline.com/sitemap. This permanent role offers fantastic opportunities for advancement and professional growth.

This position would suit a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with experience in CAD design and engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating design drawings for manufacturing, working with project managers to establish the best design, and ensuring the accuracy of the information received.

The ideal candidate will have proficient AutoCAD skills, the ability to develop engineering designs, and experience with sheet metal or enclosure design.

Please note that you must already be within a reasonable commute of the Peterborough site without the need to relocate and have full rights to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Creating design drawings for manufacturing - typically 2D with AutoCAD for sheet metal, including bend and cut points, brackets, supports, and fixtures.
  2. Creating 3D drawings with SolidWorks, including elevations and support plans.
  3. Working with the Project Managers to establish the best design and ensuring the accuracy of the information that you're receiving.

You'll receive 1-to-1 training and development, along with exposure to the whole process.

  1. Proficient AutoCAD skills and the ability to develop engineering designs (flat plans, cut, bend points) and progress these to the shop floor.
  2. Proficient SolidWorks skills and the ability to create 3D engineering drawings.
  3. Experience with sheet metal or enclosure design would be very useful.
  4. Excellent numerical skills, along with solid interpersonal skills and fluency within technical and colloquial English.
