Job Title: Clinical Lead Practitioner

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Practitioner to join our team.

About the Role

The Clinical Lead Practitioner will be responsible for the coordination and management of a clinical research portfolio, including in-house, national, and international phase I, II, and III clinical trials. The post holder will work closely with the research team, including Research Nurses, Clinical Trial Practitioners, and Data Managers, to ensure the smooth running of clinical trials across the Paediatric and Teenage/Young Adult portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work clinically to support the running of clinical trials across the Paediatric and Teenage/Young Adult portfolio as per GCP
  • Collaborate with the research team to identify potential patients and evaluate their eligibility for clinical trials
  • Act as patient advocate and assist in obtaining informed consent
  • Register and randomize patients
  • Provide education and information to patients and families on clinical trials
  • Document patient information in medical notes
  • Schedule and complete study assessments
  • Collect and prepare biological samples as per protocol
  • Train other members of the team
  • Assist with the set up and coordination of trials
