About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Trial Assistant to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Clinical Trial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our clinical trials portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and record essential trial information with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a database of trial activity and ensure that trials are run according to current national law and local guidelines.
  • Process amendments and maintain site files in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical trial practitioners and team leads to ensure the successful delivery of clinical trials.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an administrative background, preferably within an NHS or research setting.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice and the regulatory environment surrounding clinical research.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a professional team.
  • Demonstrable IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages and database management.
