Role Overview

Austin Fraser seeks a motivated and experienced Senior Youth Support Professional to join its residential children's home in Cowbridge. The successful candidate will support young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members, promoting a positive work environment
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives, depending on age
  • Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically
  • Protect young people from risks to their health and welfare, maintaining a safe environment
Requirements
  • Essential experience as a Children's Support Worker or with Young People
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is required
  • Familiarity with healthcare or social care settings beneficial
