**Group Accounting Director Role Summary**

As a Group Accounting Director at SF Recruitment(Executive) Careers, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial strategy of our construction business in Staffordshire. In this role, you will lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they deliver high-quality results. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate with the Group Finance Director to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate and develop your team members to achieve excellence in their roles.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly WIP schedules, balance sheet audits and VAT returns.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong track record of leadership, exceptional communication skills and the ability to drive strategic decision-making. A qualified accountant with significant experience at Financial Controller level is essential.

Salary Range: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience.
