Job Title: Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 driver to join our team for the Winter Services Gritting Season. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving gritting vehicles to spread salt and brine on the road network of the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving gritting vehicles to spread salt and brine on the road network
  • Loading the vehicle with road salt using a loading shovel
  • Cleaning the vehicle
  • Participating in a standby rota, alternating between 2 weeks on and 1 week off
Requirements:
  • LGV Cat C (HGV Class 2) licence
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Full driver CPC
  • No more than 6 points on their licence
  • No DD/DR endorsements
