Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our team for the Winter Gritting Season. As a Gritting Driver, you will be responsible for driving gritting vehicles to spread salt and brine on the road network of the East Riding of Yorkshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving gritting vehicles to spread salt and brine on the road network
• Loading the vehicle with road salt using a loading shovel
• Cleaning the vehicle
• Participating in a standby rota, alternating between 2 weeks on and 1 week rest

Requirements

• LGVCat C (HGV Class 2) licence
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Full driver CPC
• No more than 6 points on their licence (for insurance purposes)
• No DD/DR endorsements (for insurance purposes)

• Standby payments of £16.50 per day (Monday to Friday) and £24.69 per day (Saturday and Sunday)
