Expected Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

You will be a key part of the Site Reliability team, focusing on maintaining and improving the reliability of our services. This role involves hands-on technical work, contributing to automation, and supporting various infrastructure components.

  • Maintain and improve services to ensure our production platform runs smoothly.
  • Build and maintain monitoring tools such as Grafana, Sentry, Prometheus, Cloudwatch, and PagerDuty.
  • Manage systems on Amazon Linux 2023.
  • Use Bash, Python, and JavaScript for automation.
  • Handle AWS services like Lambda, ECS Fargate, SQS, SNS, Aurora PostgreSQL & MySQL, S3, and Terraform.
  • Seamlessly integrate workflows with Github Actions.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong skills in AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows using Github Actions.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
  • Collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • A keen interest in enhancing existing processes and developing new ones to improve reliability and efficiency.
