We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Stock Controller to join our team at Smartsearch Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in stock control and management, with a strong understanding of inventory management software and procedures.

The Stock Controller will be responsible for receiving and checking goods, ensuring they are delivered in good condition and stored safely. They will also be responsible for organizing and managing stock levels, chasing late deliveries and maintaining accurate stock records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Receipt and checking of goods, ensuring delivered in good condition
  • Offloading vehicles using mechanical handling equipment
  • Organizing, sorting and managing stock levels
  • Chasing late deliveries/missing goods
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and conducting regular stock takes
  • Operating a B1 Forklift (training can be provided)
  • Supplying materials to General Operatives as required
  • Ensuring goods are stored in a safe and acceptable manner

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in stock control and management
  • Strong understanding of inventory management software and procedures
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £12.91 per hour + overtime at time and a half. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) with option to purchase additional holidays. Pension and life insurance also available.
