Mechanical Design Specialist

Cognize Technical Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at our Coventry office. As a leading provider of customised solutions for various industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, and the wider engineering sector, we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to our design team.
Key Responsibilities- Design various solutions, fixtures, and systems, collaborating closely with our team of Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Technicians.
- Develop innovative design concepts to meet customer needs, conducting thorough reviews of your own designs and those of others to ensure quality and robustness.
- Create 3D models for initial concepts and detailed designs ready for manufacture, producing 2D drawings for manufacturing.
- Provide support to technicians during the assembly and testing of designs, applying a solid understanding of general mechanical principles.
- A Degree or HND in a relevant engineering field.
- Proficiency in using 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Inventor).
- A good grasp of various materials and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions for complex challenges.
- Familiarity with industry-standard drafting practices and principles.
- Effective communication skills to interact with all stakeholders at both a technical and project level.
