We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at DysartSchool, providing specialist speech and language therapy services to children and young people aged 4-19 years, and adults with learning disabilities living in Richmond and Kingston boroughs.

As part of the Neurodevelopmental service based at Hollyfield Road,Surbiton, you will provide a specialist speech and language therapy service, contributing to the development of specialist Speech and Language Therapy programmes and provision of appropriate evaluation of outcomes.

The post holder will work as part of an established SaLT team at Dysart supported by the Band 7 SLT, with relationships and programmes of therapy well established and the SaLT team highly valued members of the school team.

Estimated salary: £62,500 - £82,500 per annum.

Main Duties
  1. To provide a Speech & Language Therapy (SALT) Service within Dysart School, for children and young people, aged 4-19 years, who have severe learning difficulties (SLD), the majority of whom have an autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated communication impairments.
  2. To provide a specialist speech and language therapy service within the Neurodevelopmental service based at Hollyfield Road Surbiton covering adults (18 year onwards) with learning disabilities living in both Richmond and Kingston boroughs.
  3. To act as a source of expertise and training in specialist speech and language interventions for people with learning disabilities (communication and eating and drinking and swallowing needs).
