About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Team Leader to join our team at Co-op Digital. As a Customer Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Customer Team Members, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Customer Team Members, providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Store Operations: Ensure the store is safe, legal, and fully operational, including managing stock levels, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including receiving and processing stock, and maintaining accurate records.
  • HR Support: Provide HR support to the Store Manager, including managing absence, conducting performance reviews, and implementing disciplinary procedures.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local community groups, supporting the Store Manager in delivering the Co-op community plan.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a range of different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
