About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our Asset Management and Technical Services team at RSE. As a key member of our Southern Water division, you will be responsible for controlling and managing all RSE activities on site, ensuring that all works are performed in accordance with specifications and relevant safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations: Instruct, direct, control, and allocate work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, ensuring that all activities undertaken on site comply with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management requirements.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure that all required documentation is kept up to date, filed correctly, and available for inspection.
  • Work Planning and Organization: Plan and organize work to ensure it can be carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Competence Assessments: Carry out competence assessments, adhering to the specified timetable as set out by the Company.
  • Site Liaison: Discuss matters related to work with trades operatives and contractors, and liaise with other departmental sections and trades.
  • Contract Progress Updates: Update the Project Manager with contract progress and future resource requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience within the water sector would be highly advantageous, but other industrial sectors, including wider civil engineering industries, will be considered.
  • Qualifications: Time served and fully qualified in a relevant trade – City & Guilds, MA, or equivalent.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience at a supervisory level.
  • Certifications: SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS, and awareness of all Health & Safety practices.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to manage changing priorities on site and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Transportation: Full UK Driving Licence.
