Job Title: Small Plant Service Technician

Chartwell Recruitment is seeking an experienced Small Plant Service Technician to join our team in the West Midlands area.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Small Plant Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain small plant machinery and hand tools. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in small plant and tool maintenance, strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair small plant machinery and hand tools, including compressors, generators, concrete mixers, and saws.
  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Attend to breakdowns on-site and provide mobile service duties.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to safety and operational standards.
  • Complete job records and paperwork accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide customer support where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in small plant and tool maintenance is essential.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license required for mobile duties.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
