Stock and Inventory Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Stock and Systems Manager to join our team at Wincanton. This is a key position that will play a crucial role in furthering the successful relationship between Wincanton and our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure smooth operations and high levels of service.
- Manage and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Oversee the maintenance of the warehouse layout and pick-face layout to optimize processes and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the customer on network and site projects, new system platforms, and changes to existing platforms.
- Coach and promote Continuous Improvement (CI) within the team and site.
- Provide statistical system information in various formats to meet business needs.
- Manage and control stock levels, site occupancy, and stock flow into outside storage.
- Develop and implement re-engineering projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Advise management on problems and shutdowns that may affect operational performance.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role is required.
- Excellent team building, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Ability to communicate and influence in an open and honest manner with colleagues at all levels.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Experience with SAP Globe and Manhattan is desirable but not essential.
