Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Stock and Systems Manager to join our team at Wincanton. This key role will be based in Middlewich and will play a crucial part in furthering our successful relationship with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and plan Perpetual Inventory to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Create management reports and write reports within the WMS – SAP Globe, eWM, Manhattan, ASRS – MCS Swisslog.
  • Maintain the Warehouse Management System to retain high levels of service.
  • Manage site and network system housekeeping, liability, and integrity.
  • Lead teams across different departments to ensure the right skills and knowledge are in place.
  • Identify potential problems and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Design and implement re-engineering projects without affecting store availability.
  • Advise management on problems and shutdowns that may impact operational performance.
  • Control site stock levels and manage site occupancy across all contracts.
  • Manage and control the flow of stock into outside storage, if required.
  • Ensure network stock listing is controlled and the right stock is transferred around the network.
  • Work with customers on network and site projects, new system platforms, and changes to existing platforms.
  • Cultivate and promote Continuous Improvement within your team and site.
  • Provide statistical system information in various formats to meet business needs.
  • Maintain warehouse layout and pick-face layout to ensure efficient processes are followed.
  • Present weekly and monthly reports to clients.

    Requirements

    • Experience in a similar role is essential.
    • Excellent team building, leadership, and motivational skills.
    • Ability to communicate and influence colleagues at all levels.
    • Commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility to change management and influence site culture.
    • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
    • Experience of SAP Globe, Manhattan is desirable but not essential.
