Stock and Inventory Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Stock and Systems Manager to join our team at Wincanton. This is a key position that will play a crucial role in furthering the successful relationship between Wincanton and our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure smooth operations and high levels of service.
- Manage and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate and efficient inventory tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Identify and mitigate potential problems and develop solutions that are both cost-effective and timely.
- Design and implement re-engineering projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
- Manage and control stock levels and occupancy across all contracts to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the customer on network and site projects, new system platforms, and changes to existing platforms.
- Provide statistical system information in various formats to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of inventory management and WMS systems.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and motivational skills.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility to change management and influence site culture.
- Desirable experience of SAP Globe and Manhattan systems.
