Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

Headway Adolescent Resources Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our team in providing high-quality care to young people in our residential care home.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who can manage a 4-bedded children's home in a rural area, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered to young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a staff team of 9, leading, motivating, and developing them to provide a positive and enriching living experience for the young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a 4-bedded children's home in a rural area, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered to young people.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a staff team of 9, ensuring they are equipped to provide a positive and enriching living experience for the young people.
  • Ensure the Company is represented professionally to outside agencies and within the local community.
  • Contribute to the development of the Company, ensuring we are providing the best possible care to young people.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children, with at least 1 year requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
  • A recognised social work qualification, such as a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
  • A thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements for Ofsted, as well as child protection/safeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Able to demonstrate a non-judgmental and positive attitude, taking into account the views, wishes, and feelings of the young people.
  • Licensed to drive a manual gear car and have use of own car with business insurance.
Benefits:
  • 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child
  • Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a good report, £1000 for an outstanding report
  • Non-contributory pension (9% Employer contribution) and company sick pay after 6 months probation
  • On call payments: £10 per day Monday-Fridays and £50 for Saturday and Sunday
  • Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay
